The cab of a steam locomotive is where the real business of train operation takes place. This design features the backhead (controls) of a vintage B class saddle tank steam locomotive from the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. These narrow gauge locomotives were built by Sharp, Stewart & Co. in Glasgow, Scotland. A number of the engines remain in use today, but mainly transport tourists. Modern diesel locomotives have taken over the duty of moving cargo along the 48 mile route from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling.
Also available are beautifully detailed shirts featuring the cylinder detail from these saddle tank locomotives. Choose either full color or black & white graphic.
